Showing off
Alpaca shows are a great opportunity to evaluate your progress in achieving specific breeding goals. Most alpacas seem to love the attention and prance into the ring.
Sun Greybill Boomer is a phenomenal grey suri herdsire. In the attempt to obtain a grey suri, the focus on fleece quality is often sacrificed for the color. Boomer has amazing density and a histogram that is consistently below 20 microns. His luster is noteworthy such that in 6 shows (3 halter and 3 fleece) he has always given us a BLUE ribbon. His first crias are now on the ground, and the luster is amazing.
Satin Synergy is one of the stars of our girls. She boasts several BLUE ribbons, Championships, and Reserve Championships. As a daughter of Senor Protocol, she exhibits his beautiful maroon color without sacrifice of density, lock or luster. As you can see by the picture, 2007 AOBA Nationals awarded her a well deserved BLUE ribbon.
Blackmail's Chocolate Bunny has grown into a wonderful dark charcoal grey female. We purchased her as a bay black, but before her 3rd birthday, the grey was coming through. The logical choice for her first cria? Boomer, of course!
Not all shows are serious! Our Spiced Jena really is a little devil at times.
Our beautiful Spiced Koal Keela with her well deserved Reserve Championship. Did we mention that she is also a full sister to Sun Greybill Boomer?
Peruvian Shakespeare has joined our herdsire row to add his hallmark maroon luster to the herd. He really adds a new dimension to our breeding program.
Our favorite girl, Satin Synergy looks great in PURPLE!
